Barebones About:
This is an exchange celebrating all sorts of V-shaped polyamory relationships. V-shaped polyamory is typically where one person is involved with two others who are NOT involved with each other, although there are many other forms these relationships can take.
Minimum expectations are 400 words (Fic), a clean outlined drawing on unlined paper (Art), or a recording of a fic that is at least 400 words long (Podfic).
You must be 18+ with an AO3 account to participate.
Nominations:
There are two aspects to Nominations: relationships and free-forms. Everyone will be able to nominate up to ten fandoms each with ten relationships and up to ten free-forms. These are separate tagsets, so make sure you are in the correct tagset when nominating.
All fandoms are allowed, including Original Work, Crossovers, and RPF. For Original Work and Crossovers, please use those as the fandom names when nominating.
This is a shipping exchange, which means no '&' relationships will be accepted. Remember to disambiguate your nominations by putting the fandom at the end of the nomination.
When nominating relationships, please do NOT use any piping or diacritics. If you have reason to believe that either of these is absolutely necessary, you may make your case on the Nominations Open post, and it will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
For relationships nominated under Original Works, please remember to specify gender if that matters to you. If no gender is specified, Any will be assumed as the default, leaving the creator free to choose.
Please disambiguate Crossover relationships by each fandom present.
For example: Liu Qingge/Shen Jiu (SVSSS)/Wen Ruohan (MDZS) (Hinge Shen Jiu)
For RPF, you may only nominate people who have been dead since 1926, OR are both at least 18 years old by the end of 2025 and famous in their own right.
In order to indicate who you wish to be the 'pivot' of the V relationship, indicate this at the end of your nomination - in parentheses - with the word 'Hinge', and otherwise nominate in alphabetical order by last name, following AO3's tag conventions. 'Hinge Any' is an acceptable nomination, but make sure you mean ANY member of the nominated relationship. Any DNW that tries to get around this will be considered unenforceable, just any DNW that contradicts a chosen tag, whether relationship or free-form, will be unenforceable.
Relationship nominations should look like one of these examples:
Leia Organa/Luke Skywalker/Han Solo (Hinge Han) (SWOT) - can DNW incest
Leia Organa/Luke Skywalker/Han Solo (Hinge Any) (SWAMT) - no DNWing incest or any ship permutations
Leia Organa/Luke Skywalker/Han Solo (Hinge Leia) (SWL) - no DNWing incest
Note the use of franchises in the above examples. By using All Media Types in the second, that means ALL media types. You cannot DNW broad categories of video games, comics, etc - it is up to your creator what sources they draw upon for characterization, plots, or anything else. Be careful with your nominations, and make sure you know what you're getting into if you choose to use a franchise instead of a more specific piece of media.
*You may DNW certain arcs, seasons, novels, etc. for individual properties.
Free-form nominations in this exchange are prompts, such as 'Scenario - Non-Hinge Members of V Team Up' or 'Relationship - Two Pairs Become a V'. All free-forms should have a category label like in these examples. If you are not sure of an appropriate one, feel free to query on the Nominations Post.
Please remember to use the exchange-specific terminology of 'Hinge' for the character at the center of the V; A & B would then be the other two sides of the relationship, or A -> Hinge <- B. For example, the free-form 'Scenario - A & B Team Up to Rescue Hinge' follows the exchange terminology, while the free-form 'Omegaverse - A & B Help C through Rut' would be rejected for not specifying which of the three is meant to be the Hinge character.
Because this is a Poly-V Exchange, all free-forms should relate back to the exchange's concept in some way.
Fandom specific free-forms will be rejected unless they are meant to signify an AU. 'Naruto - Team 7 Love Triangle Solved by V Relationship' is not acceptable. 'Daemon AU - Hinge's Daemon Initiates Cuddle Pile With A & B's Daemons' is acceptable.
In the event the mod(s) has questions during the nominations process, there will be one or more nominations query posts asking for clarification. At the end of the nominations period, the final query post will be open up until no later than an hour before sign-ups open and no earlier than 24 hours before sign-ups open in order to try and solve all issues. A post with the final decisions made for unanswered queries will also go live at that time.
Sign-Ups:
You may request 1-10 fandoms. For each fandom, you will request between 1-20 relationships, 3-20 free-forms, and 1-3 mediums (listed as "Characters" in the sign up). You can also request Any for relationship, which means you are requesting gifts for any of the nominated relationships for that fandom, and Any for free-forms, which means you are open to any of the free-forms nominated to the tagset. Make sure you are truly alright with ANY before you request that.
You must sign up with at least three unique fandoms (found in the tagset) in order to be guaranteed a gift, however you can sign up with fewer than three if you’d like. If you go to the Post-Deadline Pinch Hit list without 3 unique fandoms, the mod will reach out to offer you the chance to add fandoms - you do not have to accept, but you will not be guaranteed a gift and the collection will not be held for you.
You may offer 1-10 fandoms, each with 1-20 relationships, 3-20 free-forms, and 1-3 mediums. You may also offer Any for relationships, meaning you're willing to create a gift for any nominated relationship in that fandom. You may also offer Any for free-forms, meaning you're willing to create a gift for any nominated free-form in the tagset. Make sure you are truly alright with ANY before you offer that.
If you are not matchable - i.e. there is no one requesting what you are offering - you will be contacted at the end of signups and given 36 hours to make yourself matchable. If you fail to do this, your sign up will be deleted.
For requests, use the Optional Details box to include your Do Not Wants - the things you absolutely do not want in your gift. You may not use your DNWs to railroad your creator into only creating one thing or else to negate anything in your tags. Where there is a conflict between tags requested and DNWs, the tags win.
You may also include likes, additional prompts, or other things you want your creator to know in the Optional Details box, but remember: Optional Details are Optional. Other than your DNWs, nothing in that box is enforceable.
There will be a space for you to include a Dear Creator Letter in your signup. This is meant to provide additional details that don't fit in the Optional Details box. Any DNWs that are in your Dear Creator letter but NOT in your Optional Details box are unenforceable. Dear Creator Letters are optional. You do not have to provide them, your recipient does not have to read them.
Well-behaved Socks may sign up. Please do not arrange to create for yourself and please do not sign up with more than one Sock.
Assignments, Treats, Pinch Hits, Defaults:
Assignments consist of a finished work that is, at minimum, 400 words (Fic), a clean outlined drawing on unlined paper (Art), or a recording of a fic that is at least 400 words long (Podfic).
Assignments will be on OR matching, meaning you will match on one relationship, one free-form, and one medium. You are not limited by what you matched on and may create for anything your recipient requested. You only need to include one of each category.
Your assignment should be a complete, stand-alone work. There should be a clear ending, even if you use the ambiguous/open ending tag. It should not be a continuation of any other work, even a gift you have previously made for your recipient, unless it can stand on its own.
Treating is allowed in this exchange. While a treat does not have to meet exchange minimum, it should still fulfill the other requirements of a gift: match a relationship tag, a free-form tag, and don't violate DNWs. Treats may be given to the collection if no one requested the exact ship and free-form tag combination you choose to write or else crosses the DNW of someone who requested it, but these treats must still match one ship tag and one free-form tag in the collection, including the hinge character.
If you are treating the collection instead of a person, please note this in your author's note. Once your collection treat has been accepted to the collection, you may delete this author's note.
Pinch Hits will be posted at the beginning, about halfway through, and then after the deadline. You may take on a pinch hit regardless of if you initially signed up or not. If you take on a pinch hit and are NOT otherwise signed up, there will be a post where you can leave a prompt in order to receive a gift, but you are not guaranteed one.
The collection will not reveal until everyone guaranteed a gift receives one.
Life happens. If you have to default, please do so sooner rather than later so that your recipient can go up for pinch hit as soon as a pinch hit post is made. If you no-show default, you may be banned from future rounds of this exchange.
If you default, you will not be guaranteed a gift. You will still go out for pinch hit, but the collection will not hold for you to get a gift.
If you need an extension, please reach out to the mod and you will be granted a 4 day extension with no questions asked.
Other Rules:
Don't be an asshole. Your Kink is Not My Kink And That's Okay. Ship and Let Ship. etc.
In a multifandom exchange, it's inevitable that someone will like something that squicks you out. Please exercise the golden rule and let silence be your response.
This is an anonymous exchange. Please respect that and don't talk about your work in public. With a beta (or similar, for art and podfic) is fine, but nothing in public should reflect your word count, your recipient, or any other aspect of your assignment, including if you have picked up a pinch hit.
Artists should still feel free to include a watermark or signature on their work if you wish, and podficcers can include the 'read by' in the audio and/or on any cover art you choose to include (not required!), but there should still be the respect of the anonymity, even if it's a figleaf. That includes not posting your socials in your work until after the anonymous period ends when creators are revealed.

Be proud of what you create! Don't leave disparaging comments in the author's notes or say something of that manner elsewhere online. Let your work stand on its merits.
Please comment on your gift! Even if it's as simple as "I liked this", someone worked hard to make you something they hope you will enjoy.
